A Real Hero
Many people know about Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr., and Rosa Parks. They were real heroes, but, if you notice, all of them were adults when they changed the world. But there was a small girl, named Ruby Bridges, who changed her country, when only six years of age. She was a true hero, and you know how? Well, just by going to an all white school in New Orleans, LA, named William Frantz Public School. Though people kept being violent, all she did was to pray, and go to school with her loved teacher, Ms. Henry.
Incredible Ruby Bridges wrote an autobiography named Through My Eyes, I read this book and recommend it 100 percent. It is about her teacher, Ms. Henry, the crowd that yelled at her, the marshals that made her secure, her everyday trip to school. Though it has some difficult words to understand, it really touched my heart. After this book, Ruby Bridges is and will always be my hero.
