The Most Important Thing:

The single most important way for your child to be a successful fourth grader is to READ.  We ask that ALL children read every night for 20 - 40 minutes.  Children should be reading for pleasure: this means that students can read fiction, non-fiction, comics or magazines and in the language they prefer. 

Good Reads is a list of the most popular fourth grade books.  I recommend most of these books 100%. Please note that read-alouds (by a parent, older sibling or grandparent) are also an important part of home learning and count as reading minutes.
