What an exciting start to 2016 in Grade 4! I’m looking forward to sharing many more wonderful learning experiences with you! Always remember that teamwork and risk-taking will continue to be common practice in our classroom community, and in doing so, we will learn to persevere and care for each other. 

Together let's celebrate our diverse backgrounds, develop our skills and become aware of who we are as learners. We will continue to work collaboratively and make our thinking visible, so that growth in all areas of our learning is achieved.

To Have Courage, is to have a Growth Mindset
Being courageous when learning new skills and concepts is important so our goals can be achieved with success. When we embrace a growth mindset we can learn anything! 

Based on the picture book, Courage by Bernard Waber, students explored what being courageous means to them. I wonder, how could we demonstrate courage in everything that we do? In what ways could we encourage our children to take risks in their learning?
