We started exploring the wonderful world of poetry in humanities! The question that will guide our thinking is: What makes a poem a poem? Today, your child read a variety of poems, listened to spoken word poetry, and discussed what he/she noticed and wondered.
All year long, your child will be learning about figurative language. You can help support him/her at home by reading poetry, listening to music, and talking about figurative language as a family.
