Welcome to 5th Grade!

We had a wonderful first day with your children, and we are so excited for the 2016-17 school year!

This blog is an important resource as you navigate 5th grade. Here you'll find unit updates every 2 weeks, study guides, photos, and general information. We will not email parents with updates; all updates will be posted to this grade level blog.

Important reminders:

• Some locker locks do not fit the lockers. We recommend the Master lock with numbers.
• Many students arrived with their locks still in the packaging. Please practice opening the lock with your child at home.
• Please make sure your child comes to school with ALL of his/her supplies. This includes the accordion folder that will be used for humanities, math, science, and portuguese.
• Decorating lockers is a right of passage for many 5th graders and they are very excited about it! So tomorrow, they will have a chance to decorate or organize their locker.

A message from your PE Teachers...

We are really excited about another year with your children.
Please remember that on PE days (twice a week), students should wear tennis shoes (no sandals, no crocs and no boots), sports clothing (sweat pants, t shirts) and girls with long hair should have it tied. It is for their own safety. Let's have a fun year, full of new and exciting activities!
