Last Tuesday, August 12, our class participated in its very first Learning Community get-together. Ours is the A community and there is one class from each level. Mr. Ro's 5th grade, Mrs. Hoffman's 4th grade, Ms. Vergara's 2nd grade, Mr. Hossack's 1st grade, and preschoolers from Ms. Malvezi and Ms. Cardoso's classes. It was a lot of fun. Each class had students share some of their learning or an activity done in class. It was hard to come up with something after only 8 days of school, but we had fun anyway. Our class played the Would You Rather game on stage. Josefina, Amanda, Julia, Viktor and Leonardo read their biography poems to the audience. What courage! They really were risk-takers that day! We are looking forward to the next time we meet with our Community on September 17! All parents are invited!
