Today, we read the fable, Country Mouse and Town Mouse. This story is about a country mouse who lives a simple life in the country. Town mouse comes to visit his friend Country Mouse but does not like his simple food of barley and corn. So the two mice go to town and eat at the house of Town Mouse. However, in town the two mice have to run and hide every time a human comes into the kitchen when the mice are eating. Country mouse does not like having to run and hide all the time.
