Celery Experiment

Students are designing their own experiment that will help them find out how water gets to all the cells in a celery stalk (no roots!).
Students are selecting the tools and materials they need from the classroom. No materials are needed from home. Actually, the only available materials are show in the picture.

They are 3 things students should think about as they plan their experiments:

1. Leaves might affect how celery interacts with water.

1. The mass of the celery might change.

1. The volume of the water in the vial might change 

Students will come up with their testable question and a plan for answering it.
